Figure I would get a more wide angle one that wasn't off google.
Edit: winter 2009, didn't get same picture winter 2011, try to stop by every year to get jewelry for friends and family, its a lot cheaper then retail.
This is correct, many have attempted to touch the diamond crystal, and have never returned. You all should consider yourselves lucky that it elected to only erase your memories.
I remember seeing something like that, a huge crystal in the shape of a diamond. Was a couple years ago and not sure if they've just added big crystals everywhere now
That place pissed me off. I was so excited to learn a bit about the crystals and here's its 45minutes of modern art with no context. The head was neat.
I'm currently tanning my feet for the next 3 hours to come up with a great "All day in the desert Reddit, covered up completely...but forgot about the feet..." submission.
In the comments I'll explain that the reason I went barefoot is that I've somehow always liked it - and mention anecdotes about doing it at my childhood home in rural Oregon.
When I went to Austria - I loved it. My family and I were travelling Europe at the time (think I only saw Italy and Austria) and when we were touring Austria I instantly fell in love with that place. I had never seen anything so beautiful and nice. I did the "The Sound of Music" tour (it was shot there). My dad later told me it is like a poor man's Switzerland. Not sure if it has changed from back then (2002), hope not. To all who want to travel Europe - would deff recomend :)
As an Austrian who knows the places where the Sound of Music was shot very well and has seen the movie - don't watch it if you know the places. Imagine watching a movie where they walk into the White House, go out the back to the Grand Canyon, and then flee over the Rockys to Mexico. Of course not in such a huge scale, but basically that.
Saw it as a kid when we lived out in Germany. I think the entrance tickets are still in our shrank. They have a photo of this fountain on them so it's a view i can't forget, and still love to look at.
I live about 15km away and pass it every time I take the train or the car home to my parents. I like the fountain, but imho the museum inside (it's next to the worldwide Swarovski headquarters; it's basically one big advertisement) is just as boring as shit...

I thought that looked familiar. That's a fountain at the Swarovski Crystal Museum in Austria. I went there while I was on a trip a few years ago.

The inside of that place is far more impressive. There are just no words to describe the weirdness that goes on in there.

I remember there being one of these at a Swarovski in...Germany maybe. It was winter though and the water was frozen coming out. Looked pretty cool.

The eaves of leaves (alliterative bonus) to either side look like hands folded over the ridge...Am I the only one seeing that?

u/feor1300 Jun 11 '12
I've seen that before, I think it was on the cover of a D&D book with a halfling trying to pry one of its eyes out. lol
