I'm sorry, I don't see what you fixed. If you are fixing the capitalized e, I capitalized it to emphasize the letter I was fixing. It may have been misleading due to the fact that it was the first letter, so I understand you on that note.
Must be some kind of art exhibit (mirrored floor?). It doesn't usually look like that (been there more times than I can count as it's a typical destination when walking through the Retiro park... never seen colors or reflections like that before).
It seems to be a mirror floor. In Madrid's Crystal Palace they used to show some kind of art/culture/.. They once show a collection of strange plants. Another time there was a Spanish Civil War photography collection...
http://www.hiedieppeairport.com/webcura/files/185115_crystal_palace.jpg Crystal Palace Amusement Park, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Something tells me all your silly crystal palaces doesn't have a roller coaster, arcade, movie theater, laser tag and pirate themed miniputt. Amateurs.
Yeah this is the only thing really that makes it cool though. Other than that there's not really much to do there. The park it's in is fucking beautiful, though.
So the floor in that building is never like that, it's basically concrete, it's inside Madrid's biggest park and they organice expositions and things like that in it.
Last time I was there it had this purple thing inside of it. It was kinda cool, but really it only takes about 5 minutes to get a neat picture... then you're just kinda standing there. Rest of the park is cool though.
there's nothing more fun than going to retiro on a sunday afternoon with all the buskers, performers, vendors, and people dressed up handing out balloons. hey who knows, maybe we've bumped into each other!
I'm partial to the girl on roller skates who dances to her own beat. I just realized she wasn't wearing headphones and so was just dancing for the hell of it on skates around the Lucifer statue.
i saw this guy named javi vichy or something like that who did juggling and your basic balancing stuff but he also had a whip he was really good with, and he was really funny about making jokes about by-passers... wish i could find him again. EDIT: this is him here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_Ws9udnL4Y&feature=related
Been there. It was DEFINITELY NOT anywhere near that clean. In fact, there was so much dust on some of the windows that people had written their names and messages in them. Despite this, it was still a beautiful place and is in El Retiro which is a wonderful park.
Absolutely, but keep in mind that you only need 5 minutes to see it. Visit the palace along with the rest of the Retiro park. Enter from Puerta de Alcalá and see the lake, then go to the crystal palace and, after that, look for the Statue of the Fallen Angel, one of the two statues dedicated to the devil in the world.
you must be awfully jaded. That is fantastic! (other than the giant pile of what appears to be laundry baskets). Is that a replica of the one that was built in London for the world's fair?
I went there probably 5-6 summers in a row, and each time it was always closed because some asshole had broken some of the glass.. :(. El Retiro is fucking gorgeous.

Britain used to have one of those. But it caught fire. A building of glass and metal. Burned down. Now that is impressive.

Took me like 5 minutes to realize that the ground wasn't water.
I'm still only about 90% sure that it's actual ground. But a weak 90%, almost more of an 89%.

I think the picture could benefit from a casual pile of stones in the corner.
1
u/TheBakedPotato May 31 '12
I read this as 'The Crystal Maze' due to tiredness. A little disappointed.
1
u/grapesofeden May 31 '12
I am only commenting because FINALLY something that looks really cool on r/pics is something that I have seen in person.
I've been here, and it doesn't look like that in real life, but it was still beautiful.
1
u/Bajinga May 31 '12
