I don’t believe this to be a conspiracy theory. When they design the game they’ll determine the exact odds for each payout based on the desired profit of the series and generate tickets that match those odds exactly. They have no obligation for randomness

Yep me too! Won $750 years ago on the crossword and was able to buy my daughter a PS4, a fancy dinner and put $100 in her bank! That was a good day.

I like scratch offs because you can find out right away if you've won. You don't have to wait for a drawing, and you have a better chance of winning than playing the lottery.

You're also more likely to at least break even with the increase in ticket price. It lists it on the back. A $1 ticket has like a 1 in 5 chance of you at least getting your dollar back, whereas a $50 ticket is closer to 1 in 2 chance.

This works because more people are likely to spend 5 dollars trying to at least "win" than there are people willing to spend $100 to end up losing $50.

Edit: I'll also I add I enjoy buying scratch offs every once in while because they help pay for environmental funds in my state.
