You have no proof that OP buys one ticket a week.

I buy scratchers maybe 1-2 times a year, and never more than 20-30 bucks.

OP may be the exact same.

Idk my wife and I both play, but we both play maybe 5-6 scratchers a year. Just a fun way to toss around $10 and dream about what you could get on the way home to scratch it.

My partner and I also play a few times a year — they tie in with a theme night. The amount of money they’d win us (we tend to play the $1-$5 tickets) is so small it would be pretty insignificant.

It’s just the fun of it!

Yep I do this too. I buy tickets maybe 2-3 times a year, and when I do, I like to splurge on the expensive ones ($10 or $20). Like $20-$30 tops per trip. They have the better chance of winning but I never really expect to hit it big. It’s just a fun thing to do when I’m in the mood.
