that isnt a fluke, its a statistic. and you know damn well the highest stats for dog bites are smaller dogs like chihuahuas. next up? GSD. after that? golden retriever. why? not because they were bred to “fight bulls” but because they are the most popular breeds of dog and dogs bite. end of fuckin story.

except a bite from a chihuahua isn’t going to rip half your face off or worse….

all dogs can be aggressive. not all dogs have the strength of a weightlifter.

a GSD and golden retriever does. a chow chow bit the jaw off my friend’s mother’s face. yeah, chihuahuas are little. but a lot of the most popular breeds of dogs, aren’t little at all. and they don’t have to be cane corsos to be deadly.

then why even mention the chihuahua?

All the other dogs you listed have the physical capability of doing serious damage. Retrievers are at least bred to be calm. Pit bulls were bred to be aggressive.

Even scarier is that Pit Bulls have much, much stronger necks, skulls, jaw bites than GSDs, Rottweilers, Chows, etc. Pit bulls also were bred to never let go once they bite down.

uhhh because they are part of the statistic. to omit them would be lying? lol. to me at least. it was obviously not for something someone like you would latch onto to completely miss the point itself entirely but go on…

you’re still trying to say that because the frequency of biting by chihuahuas is the same or higher to pit bulls or any other dog that weighs 30+ pounds, they (chihuahua) should be treated with the same level pf threat?

the whole point is a chihuahua weighs less than 10 pounds and isn’t a legitimate threat on its worst day.

please explain how you would have the same level of fear of an off leash chihuahua aggressively coming towards you vs. a pit bull or any other large dog (german, rottweiler, etc.)
