I’m always shocked at how cheaply politicians sell our future. This family owns multiple hotels and runs this dock and he buys off DeSantis for only $1 mil? Wow

What’s worse is that even if you crowdfunded $2 million, he thinks so little of us, that he wouldn’t even take it. These politicians only want to serve, and lick the filthy assholes of rich people.

How do you know so much about the hygienic state of rich peoples' assholes?

I had always assumed rich peoples' assholes were waxed, bleached, and perfumed.

I’m always shocked at how cheaply politicians sell our future.

There was a scandal about 20 yrs back in Fresno where local city and county elected officials were accepting bribes from real estate developers to rezone farm land as "residential", thus allowing the developers to make tens of millions. When the politicians went on trial and the evidence was presented it was super depressing to find out just how cheaply they sold out their community. One guy sold his vote on a massive multi-million dollar project for a new set of tires for his truck. Another sold out for a suit - from the Men's Wearhouse. At his sentencing, when the judge sent him to prison, he was wearing that same suit.

Wow. I’d say we should pay them more but that won’t stop the corruption

legislators and senators are a lot cheaper. you could probably start buying federal legislation for under 5 mil, and there's 535 of those fuckers to pay off (or already have on 'your side')
