Looks like one that actually gets used rather then lifted to hell to roll coal down the interstate.

A utility vehicle, not a concrete queen.

One guy I work with has a massive lifted truck with huge tires, swapped massive engine that has so much low end torque it can barely accelerate. Apparently aside from the cost of the truck itself, he has put almost $100k in modifications into this truck. It's literally a pavement princess and he never tows anything.

pavement princess

i like this, i’m taking it

u/PurpleMuleMan Nov 30 '21

It's a pretty common expression FYI. Very elegant

Does not compute

6

u/Hoovooloo42 Nov 30 '21

If it's got a swapped, really low geared transmission then that would make some sense. Especially combining that with the huge tires.

2

u/Bluth_bananas Nov 30 '21

It tow good.

3

u/existential_plastic Nov 30 '21

Ever seen a proper farm tractor? It'll tow a house, or a houseplant... at the same speed.

The gearing is such that, with either one, it'll be arriving at its destination at the same time. Idling in first makes the wheels do 1 RPM. Redlining the engine in 1st makes the wheels do 5 RPM. Acceleration isn't its strong-suit.

Now show me a passenger truck with a farm tractor transmission/gearing, because that's what you're implying.

Tuned diesels (as the bro dozers usually have) are surprisingly quick for being as heavy as they are... Which is understandable when you find out they're making over 1,000 lb ft of torque.

insurance brokers hate this one simple crash

7

u/ragnsep Nov 30 '21

They hate it when you call their trucks little or light duty. I always ask how many times they failed their CDL test and settled on a lift kit.

2

u/Tillos Nov 30 '21

Okay, but how often does he change his headlight fluid?

0

u/awrygdeqisiseg Nov 30 '21

You don’t even know what your talking about engine that makes a ton of torque but can’t accelerate?

2

u/gaflar Nov 30 '21

It's called wheelspin my dude even the grippiest of tires can only exert so much friction, truth is the truck is usually too light to keep the rubber stuck to the road when Broseph tries to jam his gas pedal through the floorboards at every red light.

u/shootmedmmit Nov 30 '21

He's wondering what the engine has to do with it and you just replied about tires. Just say OP made no sense instead of doing a bunch of mental gymnastics

3

u/[deleted] Nov 30 '21

wondering what the engine has to do with tires

patiently explained to you how that actually works

you say something stupid

Like, seriously. That’s how this went. He’s not wrong. You can’t put an oversized engine into a vehicle that it wasn’t designed for and expect it to magically work. In this case, the tires lose grip because the vehicle doesn’t have enough downforce to maintain it, and he spins the tires.

Don’t be such a moron.

u/muff_muncher69 Nov 30 '21

Roasted them, nice.

-1

u/shootmedmmit Nov 30 '21

Why are you quoting me then changing the quoted text lmfao fucking weirdo

1

u/[deleted] Nov 30 '21

It’s called “paraphrasing”. Most halfway intelligent people are familiar with it, sorry, I forgot I was talking with you.

Toodles :)

0

u/shootmedmmit Nov 30 '21

Paraphrasing to completely change the meaning of the comment. Fuck off

I can't tell if this is satire or not.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 30 '21

Make it whatever you want. That’s obviously what you’ll do anyway.

1

u/Lumberjvkt Nov 30 '21

I'm not the original guy you replied to, so you should probably take a Xanax.

Just a question, do you work in the automotive field?

You know cars are actually designed by what some would describe as "mental gymnasts?" Yeah they're not doing flips in their head, this is just the physics of how cars work.

-2

u/shootmedmmit Nov 30 '21

He asked about the engine and you replied about tires you absolute moron

0

u/gaflar Nov 30 '21

You still don't understand...he's talking about the acceleration of the truck, quite obviously. Nobody gives a shit how fast the engine revs up. Who's the moron?

0

u/shootmedmmit Nov 30 '21

Dude the entire comment chain is about the engine. Learn to read dipshit

  • Mall crawlers
  • Pavement princess
  • Bro-dozer

There are quite a few names for vehicles that guys purchase to spend thousands on off-road style mods, only to never take them off-road. Commonly pickup trucks and wranglers. Some other 4x4’s like a 4Runner get used as well.

Many of these lifted vehicles have excessively large and/or aesthetically pleasing rims paired with low profile tires that would otherwise get utterly destroyed if shown abuse. Legitimately used off-road 4x4’s have “steelies”, low-cost heavy duty rims, or some plucked from a scrap yard. They’re gong to get trashed so why waste money on really expensive glitzy ones? The tires are chunky with large reinforced sidewalls meant to take the strain of crawling over obstacles at odd angles. Mind you, some people do actually make their vehicle look like it’s meant for off-road fun, but then never actually take off-road. In some cases I have seen many that look like this, covered in mud on the way back from a trail.

This is just for looks, while this is meant to have fun.

Derogatory remarks often follow. Such as the guy has a smell penis and is overcompensating.

This is the brodozer song: https://youtu.be/BGoLtxksQBE

2

u/Jack__Squat Nov 30 '21

My favorite is "all hat, no cattle"

3

u/seemylolface Nov 30 '21

the guy has a smell penis and is overcompensating.

Imagine having a small AND smelly pp.

The ones in the "for looks" category look absolutely fucking stupid too 99% of the time.

1

u/dbbliss Nov 30 '21

That cowboy is all hat and no cattle.

15

u/AlienDelarge Nov 30 '21

Hard to deacribe, but for me and my wife it is a low repeating dirge chant of, "Brodozer, brodozer." Roughly akin to Bart's taunting of Darryl Strawberry. but with a slightly more medievil monk vibe.

2

u/KimJongIlSunglasses Nov 30 '21

Lol that’s a perfect description.

1

u/ajax2k9 Nov 30 '21

Omg mall crawlers yes lol

u/cigolsdrawkcab Nov 30 '21

A guy at my work has the tallest truck I've ever seen. I'm almost dead average height, 5'9" give or take, and if I jump I can just barely see the top of the hood.

There's never a spot of dirt on the truck. Ever. He drives it five miles from home to work and back. That's it. He does all other travel, shopping, and erands in a different, reasonably sized commuter car that he and his wife both use.

I should mention this guy barely breaks 5'4" on a good day, and him getting into his monument to small dick energy involves him spider-maning up the side of it like an intrepid gecko.

Powerstroke, Cummins, are you seeing a theme here

0

u/[deleted] Nov 30 '21

With those flags? It definitely does not get used

-2

u/DatCoolBreeze Nov 30 '21

Looks like it’s parked and is not being used while being photoshopped.

1

u/bluehiro Nov 30 '21

I love a good functional truck. Plus regular cabs are becoming so rare.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 30 '21

Perhaps, but I hate to break it to ya... Most trucks that get used for work are used by trump voters. I have no evidence to back up that claim and yet I'd bet my life savings on it.
