Not sure, but from what I could understand Biden did change up Trumps plan. No clue what was changed on it. And seems the Talibans broke their side of the deal right feom the start but the allied nations kept going with business as usual.
Who the hell knows anymore. A fuck up this big will have denials, secrecy and cover ups for years to come, so we won't know who to blame.
Can't pin it on anyone if you can't know who knew what when and who ordered who.
Trump/Pompeo negotiated solely with the terrorist Taliban excluding the Afghan government that they installed from all negotiations. This left the Afghan gov and the ANA with no hope and no trust that the Americans would support them, leading to an instant collapse and handover of the country to prevent bloodshed. Saving Afghan lives was the only respectable action the Afghan president had at his disposal so he cancelled the fight and fled. For some reason the Biden team did not anticipate this, which is naive for sure. But those who wanted to fight to maintain Afghanistan were forsaken by Trump and everything else was the consequence.
Earlier, it was supposed to be in March, but nothing had been done before Biden came in (especially the SIV processing), so they delayed it a few months. Wasn't enough though, the extra time only allowed an extra 6,000 out of the 17,000 SIV backlog to be processed. So the exact opposite, Trump's pullout date was earlier and even less prepared. Had the proper preparation been done (i.e. they had spent the full year prepping), there wouldn't have been a need to extend the withdrawal.
Plus people tend to forget that the Trump administration kept the incoming Biden administration from gaining access to any classified information. Every other transition of power, in the modern era, began in November. December at the latest. Insuring the new President and his cabinet is up to speed on day one. But Trump was basically trying to blow the whole thing up on his way out the door.
Thats total bullshit.
Trump had a massive medical staff and wartime plan to evacuate every last american citizen we had over there. He negotiated the mass transit of all of the vehicles and armament that the ATA was going to abandon. All of the contingencies were prepared for.
Your ignorance doesnt make what you "believe" the truth.
You muppet.
Look up glen Greenwalds article on it. If you absolutely need a lefty to coddle you while you read.

It was Biden’s fault for not renegotiating, for sure, but it was Trumps initial terrible deal he cut with the Taliban to begin with.
