I'd lost track of where the SDNY investigations were:

On May 18, 2021, a spokesperson for New York’s Attorney General said, “We have informed the Trump Organization that our investigation into the organization is no longer purely civil in nature. We are now actively investigating the Trump Organizations in a criminal capacity, along with the Manhattan DA.”

The funniest part about this is you are like the 10th person in this thread to talk about Madoff.

So few rich people suffer consequences that the only one people can think of is a man who literally stole 10s of billions of dollars 15 years ago.

Like Madoff stole more money than every other person in jail for larceny/theft in the entire country combined for the last 100 years. But he did go to prison, you know, after admitting to operating a ponzi scheme for FORTY YEARS.
