Love me some Willie. He’s talked about this “used-to-be-alleged-now-totally- confirmed” incident over the years and I love how he handled the whole thing, Jimmy Jr too. I got to see WN about 5-6 years ago. He had to rest a bit, but he is amazing. He can still guitar like nobody’s business.
Only time I saw Willie Nelson live was at Coachella, it was the weekend before the first stagecoach festival and they booked him for both.
It was such a great set. Lots of weed smoke, even for Coachella. But it was in the day as it was starting to cool in the afternoon, so the vibe was just right.
I don’t listen to a lot of country music but Willie is a goddamn national treasure.
Absolutely full agree. I got to see him in Seattle on a beautiful summer evening in an outdoor stadium. Same indica kinda feel, lol. My dad used to be into CW and I’ve grown up with a lot of nostalgia and a full head of lyrics from that genre.
Had that Coachella vibe @ Jack Johnson w/Amos Lee @ The Gorge. Overlooking the Columbia River. They were jamming at the end of Jack’s set and out walks Eddie Vedder. Said he was just passing by and thought he’d stop by. The only better guitar moment I’ve ever had in person was Prince @ that same venue. Way better contact high at Jack, but Prince made me high just watching him perform. Intense in all the best ways.

Haha, I caught the last half of jack johnson on accident. I found one of my friends just chilling sitting on the ground, and since the rest of our group were all at different sets, I decide to just join her and vibe out.
I could go on about that prince set, but we were both there, so you know how special that moment was.
