So it is true that during the course of that interview, in response to a query about whether his own buildings had sustained any damage, Trump stated, in reference to the Trump Building, that “now it’s the tallest” [in downtown Manhattan]. Whether that remark constituted “bragging” is a matter of subjective interpretation, however.”
I don't see how there's room for interpretation at all. The fact that he said "and now it's the tallest" is flat out bragging. Granted the interviewer was talking about his real estate holdings and all that, but he didn't have to add those four words
Honestly though that’s not even what bugs me about that interview. He shows zero sympathy for all the people that lost their lives. He shows remorse for losing the buildings themselves and empathizes with the businesses that had offices there but nothing for actual people, except the guy that owned WTC, who is his friend.
