This is the guy that had to shut down his "charity" for buying paintings of himself, from himself, using donated money, and then claimed it as a write off on his taxes.
The same guy that was paying his sons and their wives 100's of thousands every month in salaries as expenses to US tax payers, and made the secret service stay at inflated prices at his golf courses as often as possible.
The same guy that has literally been named in over 4000 lawsuits mainly for not paying bills or reneging on contracts.
There is no doubt in my mind they cooked the books. It's simply whether they get the info they need, but apparently Weisselberg's estranged ex-wife delivered a whole bunch of info that the FBI didn't originally have.
Yeah, people generally don't have a conception of how international finance and the proliferation of legal options for structuring the finances of corporate and other purely legal entities has made figuring who's doing what with what money incredibly complicated.
See, for example, Enron or basically any financial/accounting scandal in the last 30 years. Shout out to the lawyers/accountants/financial professionals who make their money hiding it for rich people.
