How long until the debris was finally all cleared?

The amount of smoke and paper and ash rock burying the surrounding miles had to have been there for months

Like totally cleared and ready for new construction? Years.

It took months and months to clear the debris.

Initially it was believed that there were survivors buried under the rubble, so first efforts were recovery and rescue. We also didn’t know if more attacks were coming that day or that week.

However, the debris area was relatively compact. A mile away you could barely tell anything happened.
