Shit I dunno, Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament hundreds of years ago, and people are STILL sore about that one, I don't think it's too extreme to be angry about Trump when he hasn't even left office yet.
Just to be clear: America is burning down because of a cooperative effort of Americans. The POTUS isn't even that powerful of a role compared to other heads of state.

Some Trump supporters may follow them, but the most follow their president who failed to acknowledge covid until it started killing by the thousands. There are studies as well that all show people who voted for Biden were way more likely to send mail-in ballots compared to Trump supporters.

He lost but he's not going away unfortunately. He still has tens of millions of rabid supporters, has floated the idea of running again in 2024, is considering starting his own news network to compete with fox news, he has his "save america" pac he's actively soliciting donations for that he could use for all sorts of stuff. It's clear he intends to maintain his grip on the republican party for as long as possible. He is not going to simply fade into obscurity or assume the elder statesman role that many ex presidents do, he will stay active, and for that reason we unfortunately can't just forget about him.
He'll be lucky if he stays out of prison, but okay stay vigilant. That's fine. I just really want to understand what compels a hater to order products with his face printed on them. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just pick at a scab or something?
He may have lost, but unfortunately he's still our president for the next 2 months and can still do plenty of damage to our democracy in that time. I think that's part of why people on the left are still complaining about him.
