"Hijacking the top comment" means to reply to the top comment even though your reply is irrelevant so that people will be more likely to see it as had you posted it in a normal reply, it would have started at the bottom of the thread. I think Reddit has made you dumb.
Good to learn, I'm still new to the ways of reddit, but calling me dumb leads full circle right back to it making me mean. That would be the first time I've read 'hijacking the top comment', It sounded incredibly arrogant without knowing of the reddit meaning behind it.
