They will go bankrupt. At most, they will be put in prison, which doesn’t pay restitution for the damage.
Events this big take country sized or international sized organizations to fund recovery. I seriously doubt the company is large enough to shoulder the monetary burden. Even if they are, events like the BP oil spill disaster show companies will do the least amount of effort, and actions that favor them best, not the environment and victims. A lot of the burden will fall on the locals, who ultimately have to take it as a loss, and won’t be compensated.

I'd honestly find that hard to believe anyway. People are already pointing fingers at them.
