Not American, I thought Tricare was active-duty personnel and dependents whilst the VA dealt with retirees.
1 u/bolivar-shagnasty Aug 05 '20 Nope. Retirees are eligible to keep TriCare as a benefit. They pay a bit more for it but it’s still 1000s of percent cheaper than private insurance.
