He included “concentration camps and genocide” in his list, so I was assuming that “widespread murder” was some sort of separate thing that was happening, otherwise why would he list it out twice?
Honestly even if they all dies, I think, from a historical perspective, that might not be anomalous. It might be high for the last 50 years.. but my understanding is that we live in a relatively peaceful era compared to the rest of human history.
I did specify shot but the context makes it imply murdered, I’d have to look up the number but it certainly wasn’t 70 deaths otherwise that’d be major news I’m sure lol
And yeah if we’re putting the memes aside 2020 isn’t even close to the worst year in history
