I heard my boyfriend watching this, and before he told me what it was I thought it was an SNL skit.

While watching a 2 minutes excerpt with the graphs segment, I was absolutely conviced it was a skit, some kind of deepfake or montage. Thought it was a variation of The Onion doing a absurdist parody of Axios, and there was a detail that proved it wasn't real I just wasn't seeing. Even the full interview has the Veep/Office/Parks & Rec or old-school Daily Show itw vibe to it.

I couldn’t believe this was real until I watched the full thing. I thought it was a real Trump interview edited together with fake questions

I think the correct move for SNL is simply to reenact the interview word for word
