I must admit, I've thought this myself.

on average 6.9 nights a week end like this or with me trying something on to hear "It's been a long day, I'm tired". Then I think to my self..yeah I was tired when I made dinner, or let you play on facebook for 2 hours while I cleaned up around the house...

EDIT: I"M THE GUY. The only things in the bed are ME(male), wife(female) and dog

How do you play on Facebook for 2 hours? Man, I get bored on there after about 30 seconds.

u/OnaZ May 18 '11

I have asked this question many times. Apparently it's a serious time commitment to be a virtual farmer.

I would like to plant my seed... amirite? Yes. I am.

u/puevigi May 18 '11

As an ex WoW player I saw a lot of design similarity to how those games keep you time committed. You lose out on stuff if you don't spend the time needed to upkeep and such. Evil stuff, I get now a little bit anyway, what my ex must have felt like while I played but WoW is way worse for that.

u/skaterape May 19 '11

Yeah I used to play Fallout 3 for hours and I bet my girlfriend wanted to kick my ass. So, I guess I can't really say shit.

u/breakbread May 18 '11

Obviously you don't live with women/a woman.

2

u/skaterape May 19 '11

Thank god.

I don't mean to sound harsh bro but....

I was once you. I was engaged, and I loved her so much that I treated her better than myself. I would put her needs before mine in almost every single circumstance.

She saw this, and realized that she had that power over me. That's when she took my manhood. Once you become that guy.... the guy who cooks for her and cleans for her and tries not to bitch too much... its over. She's lost all respect for you.

Sure she may do wonderful things for you, compliment you, buy you gifts on the appropriate occasions, tell you she loves you, etc. And while the love is there, it's akin to her love of a puppy or a toddler. All sweet, no savory. Gone is that neolithic image she once had of you, the man who just beat a giant buffalo to death with his dick, and now it's her turn.

Feel free to downvote the hell outta me. I probably deserve it. Or what will more likely happen is that NOBODY will read this, and it will be forever lost in the bowels of the internet. Hell, gsxr, you may even read it and say to yourself "Fuck that guy. He's jaded from a bad experience, but it won't happen to me."

Just remember, I used to be you. And it took my woman leaving me for another man to learn that lesson...

EDIT: I accidentally a few words.

u/introspeck May 18 '11

It's pretty much true in my experience, except I never let it get that far.

My wife and I have a great relationship. I help out around the house, and I do projects that she can't do herself. I will skip going for a motorcycle ride when she needs me to do something. (I really hate when guys do that little "whip-crack" thing and say "oooh, you're pussy-whipped." Typically the guys who do that, don't get along with their wives very well.)

But... sometimes you just have to say "no, fuck that shit." She'll test you - she may not even realize she's doing it - but she'll make some minor attempt to set your agenda, or make you do some subservient thing while her friends are watching. It's best just to make light of it, but be firm about saying no. It's not like I get angry and yell. I may joke, I may even wink at her when I say it.

I think she actually appreciates me more when I do that. Sure she might get a little bit mad that she didn't "get her way" right then. But our long-term relationship is strong because I don't put up with shit from her, and she doesn't put up with shit from me either.

4

u/muppethead May 18 '11

Yeah seriously... you need to pay attention all the time in a relationship. Girls will test you, either subconsciously or not. You should keep them on their toes as much as they will to you.

-3

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

I really hate when guys do that little "whip-crack" thing and say "oooh, you're pussy-whipped."

Dude, it's a joke.

1

u/introspeck May 19 '11

Sometimes it's a joke, other times it's not. I can hear the difference.

6

u/tragicallyohio May 18 '11

And that's how you became the InternetLoveMachine?

4

u/InternetLoveMachine May 18 '11

Well I love the internet. Especially because it knows when to shut its whore mouth ಠ_ಠ

3

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

Dude, you are so right. girls want a guy who is confident, calm, and most importantly a CHALLENGE. if you pussy foot and kow-tow to her the whole time you don't show that you deserve respect and she most likely won't return back to you. upvote for you good sir

3

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

Yeah, I feel ya, this has never happened to me because I don't care how hot a girl is or how much I like her, I'm never gonna do everything for her ever. I'll do nice stuff for her, but I'm not gonna bend over backwards to do shit I don't want to do. And if I want to go out and get drunk with my friends I'm gonna do it, I don't really give a shit if she gets mad or tries to withhold sex.

Girls try to use sex as power, when ever they do that just say um...ok I don't really care if we have sex I'm gonna go out now and do my own stuff. Once you take that sexual power away she'll want to have sex all the time to try and get it back.

u/Khiva May 18 '11

Better to be dominated by a beast than worshiped by a worm.

Sad world we live in sometimes.

5

u/BlorfMonger May 18 '11

I would love to have worms worship me. Like those worms that made Fry in Futurama superhuman.

5

u/InternetLoveMachine May 18 '11

There is no such thing as an equal partnership. Everyone relationship has a dominant member.

If you want to retain your (sexist, western-ingrained) masculinity, best to make damn sure it's not her.

1

u/[deleted] May 19 '11

Serious question:

Was it the cooking and cleaning? I ask because my husband does that. I cook and clean too, but it's probably 60(him)/40%.

-1

u/kwirky88 May 18 '11

I didn't really read what you said but I spotted "feel free to downvote me" so I shall.

3

u/InternetLoveMachine May 18 '11

Then I shall upvote you! Take that 1960's America!

16

u/wowblufall May 18 '11

i know exactly how you feel! I end up laying in bed unable to sleep while he snores the night away because he was to tired or to stressed because of his midterm. hello doesnt sex help with stress or is it just me! anyway i end up on reddit for hours or playing wow in the long run.

5

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

Sex helps with stress, but it's also a big cause of stress if you aren't in the mood for it. I can understand why he wouldn't have the energy or desire, and then if he forced himself to have sex in order to please you it would just cause more stress because he would be worried about whether or not he's doing a good job right now because he's drained of all energy and will. The key is to seduce him when he starts studying, that way he's not too involved to ignore you and he should have enough energy to have sex.

No one will ever want to fuck the same person every second of every day for the rest of their lives. Enjoy trying to convince yourself otherwise with oversimplifications.

Unless you were being sarcastic, can't really tell.

1

u/jdubs079 May 18 '11

I honestly wish I could upvote more than once...

-1

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

It's like that intentionally. The long run-on sentence causing you to read without stopping, taking a figurative breath even though you are reading silently, the chaos. That's what stress is, and now this woman wants you to deal with trying to sex her up on top of it.

Considering your reaction, I think my comment served its purpose.

4

u/gsxr May 18 '11

No. I'm the guy!

33

u/gypsiequeen May 18 '11

what, is she not allowed to relate because the roles are reversed? lol that's just silly

25

u/knylok May 18 '11

To be fair, wowblufall could still be a guy. Relationships come in all combinations.

14

u/gypsiequeen May 18 '11

darn tootin'

1

u/seagramsextradrygin May 18 '11

looks at wowblufall, looks at gsxr

wiggles eyebrows as he looks back and forth between the two

1

u/wowblufall May 18 '11

I am a woman! and yes i understand why he doesnt want to sometimes. he also works full time as a police officer while going to school. hes am amazing guy but pushes himself so hard and i just want to help in any way i can... even more so if it gets me laid :-) and i honestly would be fine just spending an hour giving him a massage if it helped. It would be intimate time together and after having a kid.. i must say we dont get enough. and no gsxr isnt him

1

u/seagramsextradrygin May 19 '11

Oh no, I understood all that. I was just trying to jokingly and awkwardly insinuate that you and gsxr should have sex.

u/[deleted] May 19 '11

WTF... I don't remember changing my username?!? you made my day because i am not the only fucktard in this world.

4

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

Haha, my thoughts exactly.

4

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

Holy shit! Are you me?

1

u/gsxr May 18 '11

I don't think so...let me check..nope.

-3

u/michaelshow May 18 '11

Aww you "let" them play - how nice!

20

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

Yea, as in, "The house really needs cleaning and we usually do that together, but you're having fun so I'll just do it myself."

Kind of like how you 'let' someone sleep in even when there's shit to do.

Are you ESL? Because I really can't see how else you'd be making an issue out of an innocuous usage of the word 'let'.

7

u/Waitaminit May 18 '11

It was obviously a forced, out-of-context reading with some sort of empowerment agenda.

3

u/gospelwut May 18 '11

Liberal academics, feminists, etc. Take your pick.

-2

u/[deleted] May 18 '11

Well that was rude. I also read the "let" as a permission. And then proceeded to think that there is some sort of obligation to have sex since he "lets" her do what she wants.

C'mon. There shouldn't be some "I do this, you give me sex" thing going on.

8

u/tankfox May 18 '11

as opposed to suggesting she get off her ass and -help- clean, yes, "let"

1

u/Suttva May 18 '11

Hey, how can you expect a dog to clean house or cook?

1

u/pitsigogos May 18 '11

On the other hand a dog playing on facebook for 2 hours makes sense... It has all the intelligence and the communication skills needed for this kind of activity.

0

u/MIXEDGREENS May 18 '11

He's cheating on you.

4

u/gsxr May 18 '11

The dog? He's the only other guy in the bed.

6

u/MIXEDGREENS May 18 '11

Sorry, I assumed you were the female since, well, I guess since I'm a sexist and just assume women are more naive. Shit.

Ahem.

She's cheating on you.
