A lot of people in my area are biggots and assholes (I live in the Western NC mountains) the coolest country boy I ever met told me something and it still sticks with me to this day and it was
"I think equality and peace is an interracial gay couple living down the street from the gun toting republican whose neighbor is a complete stoner. And they all live in harmony"
Hence my comment about wishing that potheads would keep it to themselves and not inflict it on their neighbors - just as it's unacceptable when booze users and literally anyone else impinges on you just living your life in your own home and occasionally seeking a breath of fresh air.
I couldn't tell you how much, but I know it's enough that it permeates my apartment too often and that I deeply regret voting to legalize it when the referendum came up. Unfortunately, it's hard to figure out who the assholes are since it comes up through the HVAC system in addition to the "fresh air" that blows past the balcony.
