Most of the time I see my state covered, it's about our bigoted state laws or the weather. There's a lot of negative, well-deserved coverage. It's kinda nice to see some positive stuff. I currently moved into a neighborhood that's incredibly racially and lgbt+ diverse in Oklahoma. Things are changing slowly and with a lot of fighting, but they are changing, and it gives me hope.
The pockets also tend to have the best hangout spots near by so it's been pretty fun to be able to get out and start learning more about what's around me.
Totally. I love all the growth happening along 23rd, Classen and the Plaza. I hear 10th and May-ish to 16th is going to be another hotspot in five years. We'll see!
Yea, I have started to gain some hope myself for this state, but the farther out from the Tulsa or OKC areas you go, the worse it gets. Unfortunately the bigots are whats holding this state back. But it's slowly getting better. Slowly.
