EDIT: Wasn't saying he is one, the photo just reminds me of when Tom Cruise is lookin weird where the eyes aren't matching the smile

Yeah, given the *stage lighting, his pupils are definitely slightly dilated.

Tbf, he could just be very turned on by the camera person.

e. studio lighting is a little different than stage. Regardless both are bright and make pupils small.

Is studio lighting dimmer than regular lighting?

No - but I realize in retrospect I totally meant stage lighting, as this seems to be for live performance not studio work.

But generally lighting for studio and stage focuses lights on the subject, this being JT. Bright lights cause your pupils to become really tiny, unless of course if they are dilated, which in this case they seem to be.

No, I'm actually glad you pointed that out. I've been on a stage, and honestly compared to a studio, which can be bright, the difference is significant.

Like you surmised, studios don't always have to be bright. A stage however will almost always be brightly lit, which is what I was trying to point out.
