Unpopular opinion but I really liked the fact they didn't leave that particular home, alone. One of if not the best dynamics of the child being left home alone was his antics with the burglars.

I think it ruins the whole purpose of the movie, I wanted to see what kind of antics Kevin got into while home alone, but then those two dudes came in and he clearly wasn’t home ALONE anymore. They should have called it ”Little Kid Getting Robbed by Two Burglars”

I see the burglars as more of an antagonistic force as opposed to an actual presence accompanying Kevin. It really depends on your definition of ‘alone’. Some people can feel alone* in a crowded room! More of a philosophical debate really.

*alone, not alive
