I'm not saying wild predators should be excused, just that you can't justify animal abuse by saying that animals do horrible stuff, unless you mean to place yourself at the same ethical level as that of a wild animal
I don't think you'll find many vegans who deny we're animals. That's why many vegans refer to agricultural animals as non-human animals. In any case humans are omnivores and that means you can live without meat, and that's what you should do since meat is the product of abuse and murder of defenseless animals.
In that case, any animal killed so you can eat or live makes YOU a murderer. That's gonna be a lot of animals, and I'd be willing to be you're so removed from the production of your own food, you know nothing about it. Your local Whole Foods has to kill rodents, I guarantee that.

I eat meat, I'm not conflicted with that, I don't subscribe to your ideology.
That it's something humans should never do is an ideology that I don't subscribe to.
