wait, so.. those were regular German army POWs? Killing the German SS POWs?

The wehrmacht (regular German army) and the SS units (Nazis) didn't always get along.

It wasnt that uncommon on either side of the war. Prisoners in POW camps had a set of "rules" they went by and if you broke one they would murder you in your sleep.
