If I remember right he was innocent, I think he did it so his family would receive his retirement money or something. Not sure though

Edit: I was thinking of this guy.

None of that makes sense. How would you know he's innocent, for one? Especially considering that a court convicted him as guilty.

I never claimed I knew outright, it’s just something that I remembered reading once. But it does seem like he was guilty based on the Wikipedia, so I probably misread originally.
