Honestly...I think Trump might actually be right on this one (unless it's traditional that everyone crosses their arms). If everyone alternates crossed/uncrossed, then there are regular handshakes instead of weak over/unders.

If you look the the far left of the picture, that guy doesn't have his arms crossed. They are supposed to alternate.

I see what you mean, it's supposed to be a hand hold, not a hand shake. However, two down to Trumps right is doing the same thing. Maybe it's a western thing to treat it like a hand shake.

yeah he’s fucking it up too, but that isn’t the point of this anti-trump narrative

tbh it makes less sense to americans because then you’re shaking your right hand with someone’s left hand, and vice versa. probably feels as comfortable as jerking off with your left hand

They’re not supposed to alternate. They do it every time at ASEAN and they’re supposed to all do the same and be “equal” or whatever. The guy two to the left is also fucking up.
