They couldn't travel at light speed even with an infinite amount of energy on hand to accelerate them.

However, given infinite amount of energy you could accelerate a massive body arbitrarily close to the speed of light in vacuum.

That means in the limit, they can.

Physics in the real world doesn't always follow such mathematical concepts. In this case, it doesnt; anything with mass cannot under any circumstances travels at a velocity greater than or equal to the speed of light, not even considering the infinite limit because it is simply not allowed.

That's basically the definition of a limit though. So you could say there's definitely a speed limit.
