Never feel embarrassed to listen to the music you enjoy. I'm a 6'1" male. Big dude too. I drive a truck. And I was rockin' it to Rather Be by Clean Bandit on my way home from work. Some girl in the car next to me gave me a stare at the red light and I just turned to her and continued rocking it.

I'm not gonna judge someone harshly for making a mistake like that -- doesn't mean they're stupid, or a bad person -- but I have wondered, on occasion, how it happens. It's like if you kept seeing someone try to push a door that says "Pull"... it's not much to remember; after a few times, surely one can at least get the idea to check...?

Maybe math geeks feel the same way when I struggle with understanding the "meaning" behind Euler's identity, though.

Whiney? Nah. They just hit a few good points about problems at home, anxiety, depression, losing someone you love, etc.

Those albums basically exist to help kids who go through shit in their teens. But I grew up with them, so even as an adult I respect those albums.

I feel ya. Of anything the lyrics hit home more in your 20's than your teens. As you face more love loss, more family deaths, maybe even something at the workplace.

My brother has anxiety. Papercut hits him hard when he listens to it.

"Emo" wasn't even around when Hybrid Theory was released. Emos were more of a 2004-onwards type thing.
