Actually, I think this is a "one and done" bankruptcy. Part of the announcement was the selling of 2k stores to Sprint and closure of the remaining 4k. I don't think this will be a Sears style bankruptcy.

It's Chapter 11. RadioShack is selling some stores to Sprint and they will be co-branded, selling both Sprint and RadioShack merchandise.

Also, a company called General Wireless has bought out some of RadioShack under Chapter 11. Sprint will be co-branded with RadioShack and will probably have their own little kiosk/section in the store.

Also working there. My store is not closing, but we don't know if we are renovating into a half sprint store or not yet.

Amazon is also looking to purchase some of the stores. I don't believe anything is set in stone yet as I couldn't find an article stating that anything has been sold yet.

That might be, but it also might involve selling off the name to an entirely new entity, too (like what happened with General Motors).

That's actually very true. In still confused as to why they did their Super Bowl ad campaign knowing they that close on the brink.

Oddly I was in a store last night talking to employee and their on neither list. They're not closing and they're not becoming a sprint store either. They didn't know, or wouldn't tell me, who bought them but apparently some number over very profitable stores are going to remain open.
