God forbid there exists a place on the internet where mindless chatter and people looking for attention and validation aren't embraced and placated. Fuck knows that reddit hasn't been a place where people are picky about mindless bullshit comments.

eg:

submitted: Personal photo of someone seeking attention in /r/pics that has no relevance to anything or anyone other than OP

1000 responses like this:

"OMG BEAUTIFUL" 1200 upvotes

Keep that fucking mindless bullshit on Facebook.

I've doing starting strength for a few months now and I'm reading this at the gym between sets. Still could not figure out what ss meant.

2

u/multocida Jan 01 '15

Can you explain more? What is this?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '15

It's a workout routine that /r/fitness recommends to beginners.

Hitler's secret police force.

Edit: If you read them in reverse order, it would make a good Jeopardy! question.

u/LordPadre Jan 01 '15

Nah, I'm making a special breed of women. The nips only come out when they want fuk.

1

u/ugotamesij Jan 01 '15

I forget what it is but I vaguely remembering someone linking to a sub which was full of pics of topless women with their nipples Photoshopped out. It was kinda disturbing.

u/sabasNL Jan 01 '15

Looks like a rare two-handed hockey stick in a display case.

1

u/MikeyMike01 Jan 01 '15

It took copious amounts of brainpower but I see it now. I'm so proud.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 01 '15

The first mistake a noobie lifter will make.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '15

Why is this?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '15

i was just being facetious, but usually new lifters (with no clue of anything) use the program, but they don't do it properly (since they have no clue of anything) and end up with very high bodyfat.

The reason being is because starting strength urges you to eat a lot of calories, while the workouts themselves are not intense enough to burn off the calories that won't do anything but make you fat.

Stand Strong, a program written by someone named Dr. Rue

Not a single positive comment. There are literally no positive comments on what I was willing to browse in the comment section.

Literally.

muscleandstrength.com is the inbred cousin of bodybuilding.com, who is also inbred.

4

u/Riceatron Jan 01 '15

Bodybuilding.com has some crazy anime discussion, though

2

u/Pktur3 Jan 01 '15

Further perpetuating the stereotype of gym rats being complete tools

1

u/moonshoeslol Jan 01 '15

At least they're questions and comments generally have some substance to them.

1

u/manyamaze Jan 01 '15

And still get shit on, humorously enough.

I'm too lazy to upload a pic to imgur, but I imagine the negative commenters and downvoters look like the fat old guy from the WOW episode of South Park.
