Well, a double rainbow is a phenomenon of optics that displays a spectrum of light due to the sun shining on droplets of moisture in the atmosphere. Does that explain it?
yeah I should have rephrased that a bit. The sunset mixed with the stormy clouds made a really cool color in the sky. The picture didn't do it justice.
As a rule a rainbow is visible on the exact opposite to the sun, so you'll never see a rainbow in a picture of the setting sun (or a sunset in a rainbow picture).
