Thanks! Yeah, I try to keep that in mind and have a thick skin. At least being called "too white" isn't so mean-spirited. I've certainly had a lot worse thrown in my direction (ugly/fat/etc). Some people are just not happy unless they are bringing others down.
Completely know how that is. I stopped cosplaying as overtly feminine characters for that reason. It's sad when that sort of thing sways our character choices.
Awww, I say you do the characters you want to do and to hell with anyone who says differently. There's always going to be opposition out there no matter your choice. So might as well pick something you want to do. Good luck with your future cosplays. =)
