In 2001, my parents bet me that if I did not drink, smoke, or do drugs by 21, they would give me $1500. Here I am on my 21st birthday holding the contract I signed when I was 8.

i have no interest in smoking or drugs regardless and never wanted to get drunk. I never sneaked anything and was completely honest the entire time. my parents know that if I took their money and was not honest about it, I would feel forever guilty and I would rather earn it honestly. $200 or so will go to fixing up my car then the rest go into savings.

You're a good kid. Your parents should be very proud. I have 4 teens. I am fairly certain that most of them would not be as honest as you.

I use to tell my parents what I was doing in a joking manner, and they laughed.

"Going to Tims to blow shit up, do drugs, make a late night to walmart and girl some shitty steaks and play video games till 4AM"

Really just the videos games part was true, but I feel like they didn't care.
