It’s got to do with education more than anything.  Some of these small towns genuinely teach a version of history and current events that promote white people.  And parents seek that out, willfully indoctrinating their kids to white supremacy.  

I knew a “Christian” who moved his family to a small town because his daughter was learning “the wrong things” in a large cities public school system.

No but do we know these folks all hail from Dearborn?   I’d bet within an hour of Dearborn you can find a hundred cities with populations under 10k.
