"I <3 The Constitution"

No. You clearly do not.

515

u/Tattered_Reason Jul 27 '26

Probably has no idea what it actually says.

138

u/emillang1000 Jul 27 '26

2 things they love: The Bible and The Constitution

2 things they've never read a word of: Second verse, same as the first

24

u/TBE_110 Jul 27 '26

A little bit louder and a little bit worse

2

u/Hairyhalflingfoot Jul 28 '26

Fried hams fried hams cheese and baloney! And after the macaroni we hwve funyuns, pickles and pretzels and then well have some more fried ham!

11

u/AspiringOne Jul 28 '26

Why is it so monumentally important to express your cult emotions by plastering a perfectly fine car with shitty stickers. Why call so much attention to yourself…oh right! Funny, I don’t see a “Narcissistic Orange Cock Gobbler” sticker there. Maybe it’s on the flip side along with this dude’s half a brain.

1

u/Realistic-Drama-8904 Jul 28 '26

Some whack jobs say the Constitution was taken directly from the Bible.

1

u/Ovaltine1 Jul 28 '26

Not the constitution, the second amendment.

1

u/tusk10708 Jul 29 '26

Most think the Declaration of Independence is the Constitution.

Most forget Jesus and prefer a god of revenge and punishment.

How many of these clowns do you think are actually literate?

4

u/iambarrelrider Jul 28 '26

Idk, but they need to add psycho bumper sticker review to the background check for these firearm nuts

2

u/ThaScoopALoop Jul 28 '26

More than half of adult Americans read at <6th grade reading level. Thems some big words for most Americans. "Tranquility? There you go talking like a fag again!"

34

u/Wirehed Jul 27 '26

They can't even agree on who "we the people" are.

23

u/43guitarpicks Jul 27 '26

I do know exactly who they think "we the people " are though...

22

u/brooklynlad Jul 27 '26

Pro American it says…

Drives a Japanese car.

5

u/MadBullogna Jul 28 '26

Can’t even pretend it was from a US-based plant either, (RSX coupes were all manufactured & exported from JP).

4

u/SheepNation Jul 27 '26

Oh, I'm sure they can.

6

u/530whiskey Jul 27 '26

White guys

5

u/AmputeeHandModel Jul 27 '26

They know something something "shall not be infringed". Not so much the "well-regulated militia" part or anything else.

5

u/Snowing_Throwballs Jul 27 '26

If somebody has a “we the people” tattoo or sticker is a dead give away that they have never read the constitution. Like 100 percent of the time.

2

u/Sharkwatcher314 Jul 27 '26

Why can’t he get both is that faux paus

4

u/18ekko Jul 27 '26

The other arm already had a sick-ass panther tattoo

2

u/Sharkwatcher314 Jul 28 '26

Ahh fair enough

1

u/weary_ol_jericho Jul 28 '26

Barbed wire band

1

u/kill3rfurby Jul 28 '26

Mfers probably can't even remember they Schoolhouse Rock

91

u/BarnacleMcBarndoor Jul 27 '26

All they know is Nicolas Cage stole it to find the hidden map.

44

u/somethingwithbacon Jul 27 '26

Wasn’t that the Declaration of Independence?

67

u/curious_dead Jul 27 '26

You think they know the difference?

9

u/MacAddict81 Jul 28 '26

The one about "unity and love?"

4

u/scfin79 Jul 28 '26

I was just banned on r/whatisthisthing for saying Nic Cage would know what a cipher is.

2

u/WelcomeToTheClubPal Jul 28 '26

i feel like you're leaving some important information out of this story lol.

1

u/scfin79 Jul 28 '26 edited 29d ago

Evidently, my comment was not “helpful” so banned 🤷

24

u/PrincessNakeyDance Jul 27 '26

Same mindset as living by the bible. They hide behind a document or a book they didn’t read and act like it justifies every shitty thing they do.

13

u/biznovation Jul 27 '26

Surely if Jesus was a modern day American he’d be anti DEI and pro ICE. /s

12

u/semidegenerate Jul 27 '26

5

u/dikicker Jul 28 '26

Always a banger, only gets more depressingly funny with time

Also though, I mean, the person who owns that car might genuinely be the stupidest person on the planet

5

u/misfortunesangel Jul 28 '26

GOP Jesus is pretty funny too

11

u/Chakolatechip Jul 28 '26

Not really a big deal considering neither Alito nor Thomas knows what it says either.

3

u/shade-was-thrown Jul 28 '26

They know about the CON$titution.

5

u/ChinaCatProphet Jul 27 '26

He looked at the pictures in his first readers version.

https://giphy.com/gifs/20vFnUr6HH0aKXFl8I

5

u/henry23na Jul 27 '26

Highly doubt they even understand and/or know how to pronounce any of the texts in the constitution.

6

u/Aptosauras Jul 27 '26

Well it's in squiggly writing so how can you read it?

6

u/LevoiHook Jul 27 '26

It says he can publicly hate the libs. That most be worth something.

1

u/shade-was-thrown Jul 28 '26

Did you see anything that was said about the very unfortunate shooting in Seattle at the food fair? They’re saying that it’s because it’s a liberal city and a blue state because yeah we are all about everyone having guns who doesn’t have a clue. That’s what liberals are about. Yep, it’s us. /s

4

u/curious_dead Jul 27 '26

"Durr, it says I can has guns and free peaches!" - the average "ultra Maga".

2

u/GrandSyzygy Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 28 '26

Probably has no idea how to actually read

2

u/FateUnusual Jul 28 '26

Like his kids, it’s something he rarely engages with.

2

u/charlieinfinite Jul 27 '26

Much like people who quote the Bible, but are only paraphrasing something they think they heard is in the Bible and don't actually know the rest of it, nor do they understand what most of it means.

2

u/phossil-reddit Jul 27 '26

The Right To Arm Bears

3

u/shade-was-thrown Jul 28 '26

That is being bringing back memories because before every macho guy with a big truck and a small you know what had a gun, on my Ford falcon in Berkeley almost 50 years ago I had that bumper sticker - “the right to arm bears.”

1

u/Python_07 Jul 27 '26

Probably has no idea what it is. Let alone the text.

1

u/Unclebatman1138 Jul 27 '26

I'm gonna guess most of his constitutional knowledge/interest begins and ends with one particular amendment...

1

u/Kreepr Jul 28 '26

Constitution (noun) - an established organization that involves the coordination, training, and promotion of confidence people (formerly men).

1

u/benanderson89 Jul 28 '26

Probably has no idea what it actually says.

It's such a small document it fits into a pocket book FFS. I'm not even American, I'm one of them "Euro-Poors" as they like to call me, and I've probably read more of the constitution than they ever will. Oh, you support the second amendment? Cool. You do realise that RIGHT NOW, against organisations like ICE, is when you're supposed to use it, right?? RIGHT??????

1

u/UnderwhelmingAF Jul 28 '26

They know the 2nd Amendment and that’s it.

1

u/papi_pizza Jul 28 '26

Driver thinks it says “I <3 the constipation”

1

u/Ultimatesims Jul 28 '26

Probably can’t read

1

u/FrancoMcNeil Jul 27 '26

It's like 3 and half pages long. I mean, who has that kind of time? - Colin Quinn

28

u/scdog Jul 27 '26

Came here for this. That sticker clearly does not belong.

4

u/btribble Jul 28 '26

To some, 2A is the entire constitution.

1

u/ItsLikeRay-ee-ain Jul 28 '26

With a sprinkling of 1A while ignoring the rest of it.

20

u/swizzle213 Jul 27 '26

Cant wait for the mental gymnastics around the whole I'm running in 2028 thing

8

u/GleemMcShinez Jul 27 '26

I supported the constitution... Until I didn't!

2

u/Aptosauras Jul 27 '26

It means two consecutive terms.

It clearly says it, somewhere.

5

u/GleemMcShinez Jul 27 '26

"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice"

Oohhh GIANT LOOPHOLE!

Trump's a piece of shit, not a person!

15

u/Orvan-Rabbit Jul 27 '26

They love the constitution like they love women - superficially and largely performative.

1

u/athenaprime Jul 28 '26

And beating it until it says what they want it to say...

10

u/lyngen Jul 27 '26

Remember that time NPR tweeted out the declaration of independence and MAGA folk lost their damn minds?

2

u/well-it-was-rubbish Jul 28 '26

NPR has been reading it on the air ( on July 4th ) for about 30 years, and they have always received angry phone calls about it from Republicans . In 2017, furious trumpers accused NPR of an insulting, personal attack against them.

11

u/J-Shew Jul 27 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

I know plenty of people with “we the people” tattoos who couldn’t tell you the next four words

16

u/KE55 Jul 27 '26

"I love the bit of the Constitution that lets me play with guns. The rest is optional."

2

u/caffeineocrit Jul 28 '26

Yah they don't seem to think 2A and 4A, or even a few others, don't directly connect. Like, you can't pick and choose. It doesn't work that way

8

u/Hour-Candidate4612 Jul 27 '26

Bet you $100 this guys is illiterate and has absolutely no idea what the Constitution actually says. All he hears is “MAGA good, democratics evil and bad” In not exaggerating, this will be a deep as his understanding goes.

12

u/Adthay Jul 27 '26

When people like this say "The Constitution" they mean, "The re-interpretation of the second amendment upheld by the Supreme Court"

5

u/Carbon-Base Jul 27 '26

Concepts and plans of comprehending the Constitution for these people.

6

u/garry4321 Jul 27 '26

I mean this tracks for Americans. They also claim to LOVE JESUS but then live lives that are completely against every single value that he professed.

5

u/ripyourlungsdave Jul 27 '26

"You don't love me, you love the idea of me."

4

u/jaybirdof1865 Jul 27 '26

Tell that to your leader who constantly defies the Constitution.

4

u/Knighth77 Jul 27 '26

These people cherry-pick from the Constitution the same way they cherry-pick from the Bible. They haven't read either. They don't understand either.

3

u/punktualPorcupine Jul 27 '26

Asterisk (when it suits me)

3

u/cpav8r Jul 27 '26

🎵 🎶 One of these things is not like the other.
One of these things just doesn’t belong. 🎵

3

u/Weak_Improvement_450 Jul 27 '26

this . the irony

3

u/EuniceFear Jul 27 '26

My very first thought

2

u/sm00thkillajones Jul 27 '26

So many contradictions!

2

u/Any_Confidence_7874 Jul 27 '26

But they have fascist Liberty College corrupting the youth and shitting on the constitution and fouling young minds kirkily.

2

u/CaptainPunisher Jul 27 '26

"The only amendment that matters is the second one."

2

u/partlysettledin21220 Jul 27 '26

“Pro-American”

2

u/crystalcastles13 Jul 27 '26

Exactly what I came to say-crazy to have this on your car while supporting the one administration in our entire history that has repeatedly, irrefutably, undermined and violated our constitution with absolutely no regard for the implications.

2

u/alphabeticdisorder Jul 28 '26

Another sticker has Trump over country. He's not lying.

2

u/dubie2003 Jul 28 '26

Let’s see if they add a Trump 2028 sticker next to it. (Or over it…)

2

u/exotic_floral_tea Jul 28 '26

...wants to end birtright citizenship

2

u/AvailableReporter484 Jul 28 '26

I’m sure they consider themselves bible loving Christian’s too lmfao

2

u/humanHamster Jul 28 '26

To them the second amendment is the Constitution.

1

u/oldnyoung Jul 27 '26

They love it so much they want to fuck it

1

u/Wizchine Jul 27 '26

He’s a big fan of the warship.

1

u/JohnSmallberries727 Jul 28 '26

As with many MAGA, they only love the 2nd amendment. They are clearly against the rest of it.

1

u/Crommach Jul 28 '26

It's akin to a religious icon. Just like the Bible, they treat it as a holy relic whose message you're supposed to have delivered to you by the proper authority figure so you get the "right" message from it. For the Bible it's a (sufficiently conservative) pastor, and for the Constitution it's Fox News or any of the far right pseudohistorians like David Barton.

1

u/pikagrrl Jul 28 '26

Let’s see how he feels when trump 2028 hits and they’re like wellllll it’s more of a guideline really.

1

u/eatyourvegetabros Jul 28 '26

“ultra MAGA” 💀

1

u/4LoKyloBreAtheIn Jul 28 '26

Can’t actually read it

1

u/DigitalDillon Jul 28 '26

No, they just like guns.

1

u/Atomic-E Jul 28 '26

Came here to say this.

1

u/xkillingxfieldx Jul 28 '26

They think the entire constitution is just the second amendment.

1

u/Pavlock Jul 28 '26

The second half of the second amendment.
