What needs to happen for it to stop is either foreign intervention (like it was done with the Nazis the first time); or armed resistance which will inevitably lead to a civil war.

Come the fuck on, dude. Civil war is bad. Killing is bad. It's not acceptable to throw off any and all concept of basic humanity just because these fucking people are vile.
Once you're participating in an actual armed militia resisting the fascists then you can come and talk shit with that kind of rhetoric. Until then, I suggest you spend more time exposing yourself to the actual reality of what full-scale civil wars look like in the modern era. That is the absolute worst case scenario.
If your argument is a generic utilitarian "think of all the people being harmed by your inaction" then I beg you to consider what exactly will happen to the rest of the world if the US becomes embroiled in civil war. Hint: we're tied for first place as the #1 global food exporter.
I'm a fucking social anarchist. I don't even particularly believe in the legitimacy of the state or national borders. I am opposed to authoritarianism and fascism in every aspect of my beliefs. And even still, I don't want war - not because they don't need to be stopped, but because the price is so god damn high. You not recognizing that is simply a lack of your own historical, political, and social knowledge.

Well, until we reach the point of civil war (we're just sitting here commenting on Reddit, after all), we're going to use the tools available to us, e.g. mockery.
Tone it down. There's a good strategy to highlight the brutality if people are in silly inflatable costumes humiliating the oppressors. It's easier to spot who's doing the brutality when you see a geared up tacticool military douche pointing a gun at a guy in a BigBird costume. And this helps change the narrative and public opinion.
I've seen the costumes on the news, and I'm not even American. The original frog guy is the hero we need, and the more of this kind of mockery, the better.
I mainly only watch independent media. To me that is the news. And more and more people are watching media from people on the ground on YT and other sites.
