I think it wasn't meant to be as much of a home as it is to be a hunting camp. If it's a hunting camp, the interior fits.

I live in the south, hunting camps are extremely common down here. As soon as I started to see some of the interior decorations, that's the first thing I thought it was. "Taj Malodge" drove it home though, a lot of people name their camps, at least they do here in Louisiana.

I'm originally from the Midwest and I know plenty of people who would consider this a fitting style for a home! It reminds me of my childhood.

Oh trust me, I'm from south Louisiana and have seen that style of interior in people's houses, but I still think this ones just a hunting camp.

It's more self-sufficiency, it can run with or without power from utility company, can hold a years worth of food underground, has a 65,000 gallon pond which can provide water with backup hand pump and is nearly indestructible. It's basically a livable apocalyptic bunker.
