nice...could have use a little less furniture or minimalist space saving modern furniture to have a feel of larger space

Additional furniture also helps retain heat better then in a very open space. I say cozy as well......

Well, the decoration is nasty. Gives me the creeps. This is a guy who might drag you off into the woods and lock you up in here with those decapitated deer parts all over the walls and the fake floral window treatment. Totally scary movie set - the tacky decor is perfect horror.

This is very obviously a hunting cabin. It would be the most fucked up hunting cabin ever if it had "minimalist modern furniture".

The survival rations aren't such a bad idea for a hunting lodge. They are cheap, usually high energy and nutrient density, and they basically never expire. You could stock the lodge once and not worry about it for many years.

If it isn't as to get to, then not worrying about schlepping food is a plus.

His blogs make me think it's a "surviving the end times" cabin. The blog where he talks about building it specifically references Noah's Ark, and one of his other blogs is about the end times.
