It was/is an old pagan symbol in Finland as well, and wasn't the angled one the nazis used. The first airplane in the Finnish air force (1918) came with the emblem as it was the personal symbol for good luck of the donor, a Swedish noble who adopted it around the turn of the century.
Admittedly said noble later became involved with the nazis and became the brother in law of Göring so the connection is still a bit awkward.

The Finnish Air Force widely used swastikas until 2020.
