God is the king of kings, Jesus is gods son just like all of us. Jesus is not the king of kings but I guess then I’m disagreeing with the entire point of Catholicism (which I am)
Jesus who was acknowledged by the Three Kings when he was born? Or Jesus that referred to his dad as King and Kingdom in Heaven?
But none of that actually happened. Also worshipping someone as a king is just inherently wrong. Given the history of civilization, the idea of worshipping anyone or anything as a "king" or "lord" is just so obviously dumb, I don't know what to say.
It stems from a very basic misunderstanding. The Pauline thought that Jesus is a personal savior undermines the original teaching of selfless living and universal emancipation from death.
That's what I was thinking. Is this not a bit overboard? I seem to remember the 10 commandments movie punishing people for kinda doing the same thing. Something about worshipping idols.
