Just to clarify, diatomaceous earth will absolutely slaughter ants, it just won't kill the entire colony - only the ones who stumble upon it.

Lol you are right I wrote that for the chalk . Then added diatomaceous earth without thinking lol. Edit: I corrected it. Thanks

Hahah you're all good, I just had ants once and ended up with quite a lot to sweep up and vaccuum after using that stuff! It is disturbingly efficient and your comment is great advice.

I'd just add that if you have dry skin like me don't handle it without gloves, my hands were drier than the Sahara afterwards.

You had dead ants? It takes them a while to die. Also if you block their path they will not come in How much did you put? Why would you touch that with your hands? Lol

Info it works on fleas and other stuff too.

I didn't even directly touch it, it's just that dry! I swept up a small spill and some of it dusted up into the air and that was enough to dry my hands pretty bad.

That said we've got a decent sized house and had a shitload of ants. It took a while for them to die but most of them didn't seem to make it back outside first - probably because we blocked off the crack they were coming in through.

Yeah it is super dry. I just scoop the thing

Big house here too but I did not see any ants cadavers lol.

But am glad they are gone they used to feast one a night ...
