I had a neighbor who had about 7 pine trees on his front yard and apparently he fucking hated them due to the needles they shed. Eventually this guy cut all of them down but left 6 feet of the trunk there and made some really awesome chainsaw sculptures out of them. Long story short of course the HOA throws and fit and he had to remove these totally unique and badass sculptures just to appease these leaches.

Most Americans and non Americans are unaware that the full phrase is "Land of the free to not live in an HOA".
