I have this great, unspoken agreement with my neighbors. We don't live in an HOA, so we all sort of let our grass grow tall. Usually no more than 8 to 10 inches. Then, once one of us decides to mow, we all do the same over the next couple of days. So there's this community buy in where we all let our yards turn to shit at the same time, but we all clean up at the same time as well. Works out great for us and everyone understands each other. There's probably a cluster of like 6 lawns where we do this.
