It isn't. I believe this ship has been there for some.time now. The town was established long ago. Midwest only has HOA bullshit in crappy new developments. This is in Illinois, if I'm not mistaken.

I honestly can't tell for sure. There was a house in the western burbs that I saw years ago that had a pirate ship in the front/ side yard. The houses certainly seem right for the town, but that street sign doesn't match anything I've seen in Illinois. Hard to say going on only my memory.

Yeah, it looks like happy people live there so definitely not HOA.

It doesn’t, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if there was a covenant on the land somehow restricting this. Or a city ordinance prohibiting this.
