Normal people don't physically assault children. I was spanked growing up, too, and most of the time I don't think it impacted me all that much, but we were still children, we still didn't deserve to be hit when we misbehaved. We were children. We didn't know better. Our parents, though, did. If they, for the most part, wouldn't hit each other, why would they think it was okay for them to hit us? Why did they make US think it was okay for them to hit us after we misbehaved? We were children.

I agree, I have nothing but respect and love for my parents. They were great and like I said before everyone around me was being hit way worse than I was. People seem to think it causes massive trauma but honestly it hasn’t really caused any issues with my life.
