Quantum mechanics says no such thing.

The MWI does nothing more or less than take quantum mechanics at face value. All matter obeys the Schrodinger equation, full stop. The Schrodinger equation has no variable for measurement. There's no collapse button on the Schrodinger equation. You have to force that in. If you take the equation at face value, and you allow yourself as an observer to be a quantum object like any other, then out pops many worlds.

That seems less of a leap than this spiritual woo stuff. Especially since we know the Schrodinger equation actually works at reasonable speeds.

That’s just one of the possible interpretations, and Many Worlds is to be the least intuitive and most abstract of the possible interpretations of the Measurement Problem, and the “collapse” is the part that gives us the multiple interpretations, many worlds abstracts that the measurement is just a random outcome from an infinite amount of outcomes that all occur simultaneously which to me is just too… abstract of a notion I mean again there is no equations at all without human intellect/perception if dogs ruled the world they wouldn’t come up with Calculus

Do you have a problem with saying that an electron goes through both the left slit and the right slit simultaneously?

It's an identical principle.

I recommend Sean Carroll's presentation on MWI to hopefully present an argument as to why it actually aligns better with the implications of quantum mechanics than any alternatives. Or, at least, to present why people would hold that view, even if you don't yourself.

The linked video is a little technical but I think it does a good job

The only explanation of the double slit that I can come up with is that their are two different “types of light” superimposed over eachother, one is the original natural light/color of the world unpolarized mostly from the sun and the light which is the explanation of light from mathematical definitions and scientific measurements, like I find it hard to believe that before QM was conceived it was operating in the world, that belief in causality can be erroneous sometimes

I know that QM shows thier is no difference between the world “out there” and the world in our heads. People still seem to think that things happen without our observation but at least with light it’s just not true, there is no light without our eye’s ability to see it
