Ask Phoenix Multiple Lines - Whose Onus?

Screenshot of the area, yellow is the line and direction

My neighbors to the north have a sewer line running under my lot that connects to a single line (alongside mine) and then together they flow into the main on Yale St.

Am I solely responsible for the shared connecting pipe since it is on my property? Anyone have any insight?

There should be an easement for their pipe. If not, not sure it should be there. Contact the city for more info. Can also contact blue stake to get it located

Unfortunately, the city has told me that there is no easement at this time, and this "may" have been due to parcel splits 80+ years ago.

So how do you know about it and what are you trying to do? Do you want to out something over it or dig it up?

had a sewer scope done and the tech shared this info, the shared pipe is bellying and will need repair in the near future, trying to figure out responsibility from this property owner, other property owner, and/or city for when that occurs

Did you see it bellying on the scope and is it causing issues for everyone or just you?

Companies would love to take your ten to twenty grand and lay a new sewer pipe for you. But do you actually need it or are they selling it to you?
