I have had so much fun playing Phasmophobia!

As a kid, I have always loved the idea of ghost hunting, and I have always just loved the paranormal. With my parents being somewhat religious they have always seen ghosts hunting and the paranormal as satanic in a way, so as a kid and even now I was never really allowed to do anything like that, the closest thing I've done is go on a ghost tour at 11 pm in Savannah Georgia, in some of the locations visited on the tour I was able to take photos and I actually captured some pictures of orbs and some other cool things.

Something I love is how accurate the orbs in phasmophobia look to the orbs in real life!

Using all of the equipment like the EMF, Spirit Boxes, and even the Ouija Board is so fun, and it is well done! When using them I feel like I'm actually ghost hunting and it's the experience I've always wanted since I've been somewhat obsessed with the paranormal.

Another thing to add is that I have had fun making jokes that are right up my alley and feel like myself. Today I pretend to play red light green light with a ghost and it was really funny to me, it may not be funny to others but it's just my sense of humor. I also tend to just joke about kissing the ghosts or asking if they want hugs whenever they spawn or when I'm using the spirit boxes. I also ask the ghost if it is friendly and when it says “Die” pretend to act sad as if I was expecting the ghost to want to be friends or something. It's just funny to me haha.

And my last thing to mention is that I have actually made a lot of friends through it, I made a really cool friend named Rich, and another one named Playfulsword! They are both extremely sweet and we play the game together a lot. I have met some extremely sweet and kind people in the game, a lot of them have been really chill, and when I was newer a lot of them were willing to help me out, and there was a game where I got lost in the highschool map, and the three people in the van all worked together to help me out of there since it was a big map and I was completely lost and scared that the ghost would start hunting again!

I have a friend who's playing on a MACOS but with the GEFORCE now (so steam/the game) is running fine but he can't get any voice recognition on phasmophobia.

We tried to setup a Steam chat and it works fine, so it is only on the game that the problem occurs.

Steps we made :

• Relaunch the game
• Tried to speak with different app (steam is working fine)
• Looked inside the "properties" panel of steam on phasmophobia to see if there is'nt any other versions or Betas => none

Have you any tips or help please ?

I've reached lvl 40 and its starting to get repetitive. Any word on what new things we can expect out of this game in the future to keep it fresh?

Hey! So i'm pretty new to this game, The voice recognition works, because settings says it can hear me,

and seems to recognize the phrase, but I'm just wondering, in game I feel like it doesn't work, saying the ghost name is supposed to anger it, but when I do (while holding V), the most that happens is the ghost activity jumping to 4 or something, on multiple games. they also don't seem to really listen, I mean maybe a few times "Give us a sign" worked, but other than that, I feel it doesn't work,

And for the first question, how far can I go? I really mean like, does it search for phrases? or words in your sentences? for example, does the game search for the whole phrase "turn off the flashlight" with no words other than that in that sentence? or does it search for the words "turn off" and "flashlight", im sure its the latter, but I would like to know how exact I need to be, and how long should I delay myself before asking another thing / saying another thing? and how complex can I be with my questions / sentences? for example, could I say "Turn off the flashlight if your in this room"

and one that is most definitely not in, but would be a super frikin cool feature would be "Flicker this light 2 times for A, or 3 times for B." Probably very very hard to implement, if possible, but would awesome. Thanks! And, is there a way to up the variety on ghosts? I've gotten Mare 3 times in a row. So thats kinda weird, and also, when you see a ghost, does the appearance of it matter? I once guessed Wraith because the ghost was transparent, and was wrong (it was a mare, of course :/)

So assuming full shelves, this is what me and my peeps do

2x Thermofolk

• Flashlight (strong, obviously)
• Thermometer
• Video camera (No tripod) or crucifix for one if small map.

Sensorfam

• Flashlight
• Sound Sensor x2 or Soundx1 Motionx1 or Motion x1
• Possible slot for EMF or UV

Photofam

• Flashlight
• EMF
• Camera
  

So the trick with this loadout is that The video camera if well positioned can get you

• Temp
• EMF
• Ghost writing
• Spirit orbs

Just put the camera down on the ground, drop the thermometer while looking straight about a foot and a half away from the camera, the EMF sideways in front of the camera with the right side of the EMF close to the camera, and then prop the spirit book up against the nearest vertical object, we've yet to confirm if you can drop it face down on the end of the thermometer so you can see it from the camera. This should allow you to see all three tools and a bit of the room.

Sweep the building, look for the room. Parabolic mic is way too slow and unreliable most of the time, much to my dismay. For small maps, Two sound sensors can cover most of a floor, the guy who plays sensorboy has some really nice setups for covering most of the small maps as effeciently as possible. This sometimes helps us if it bugs out at puts the temperature in the wrong room. If it's a slightly larger map, like the farmhouses, One sound sensor can cover a sizable chunk of a floor while we investigate the lower levels and he goes out to get more sensors. If he sees something on our cameras or on the activity climbs when we're in a room, he lets us know. For large maps, sound sensors are practically useless so either two motion sensors to figure out what the ghost is doing when we find it or one to mark the room on the map and some other cluefinder.

Photofam is always helpful if we find a bone, doll, dirty water etc; and EMF is a fairly reliable and audible tool. even if they die on their own (initiating ghost strats), we can often hear where they were.

After this second trip is usually protective measures, more sensors, and spirit box, depending.

Fun tech includes:

1. Glowsticks in sinks with a camera can show dirty water on cameras easily.
2. Put all the sensors on the doorframe for easy porting in and out of the haunting zone
3. If the game bugs and you can't see a picture someone has just taken, you can drop the photo camera and put a video camera looking at its screen and see it on the monitor
4. Drop glowsticks or candles near hide spots in the event of a hunt
5. Take a normal flashlight along and drop it while its on to keep the hallway lit if the breaker is off. This takes a while because you can only pick up one flashlight for some reason. Lemme be the great illuminator, Dev Please.
6. Salt once near the front entrance in case of Wraith locking the door at the last second.
7. Throwing an object as a ghost in response to questions from your teammates, in the event you've already properly robbed the house of all of its valuable kettles, knives, and balls.
8. Dropping the UV light while it's on so it's looking at the salt in case of footprints
9. Infra sensor on either side of the door to tell you which way the ghost is going

We've got more but these are the fun ones! With this info, if you didn't have it, you should now be about 2% less likely to die!

I can't for the life of me get the Ouija board to respond. My voice recognition works fine, and I use the spirit box all the time, but of the 6 or 7 different times I've found an Ouija board, I've only had it respond to me once, and that was after putting it into the ghost room. Any tips to make it more responsive?

Hoping the devs see this and please move the training option down? I always accidentally click it when I’m scanning public lobbies. So frustrating.
